On 5 June, Tetsun and the GoTo Group, Indonesia ‘ s largest digital ecosystem, jointly announced that Gojek had successfully put its core business on the Gojek platform under the GoTo flag. The system was migrated to the local data centre in Jakarta, where the information cloud was used. This is an important component of the broader data migration programme of GoTo and is one of the largest and most complex cloud migration projects in South-East Asia.

It was reported that the migration took place in a cross-border, cloudy environment involving more than 1,000 micro-services and that, despite the complexity of the process, the entire process took only 4 hours and 54 minutes, more than an hour ahead of schedule.
During the eight-month lead-up period, GoTo and the telecommunication cloud engineering team conducted in-depth research, rigorous testing and close collaboration. The team conducted detailed exercises and optimizations using more than 50 telecommunication cloud products (including cloud virtual machines, cloud storage, Web application firewalls, the Kubernetes engine and Elasticsearch services) to ensure a smooth and safe transition.

The migration has resulted in a seamless migration of real-time systems between telecommunication cloud data centres and servers using sophisticated migration techniques. In addition, the migration includes a robust database tool function, which supports more than a dozen types of databases and provides efficient data replication, disaster recovery and roll-back functions, ensuring large-scale resilience and continuity.
According to Patrick Walujo, Chief Executive Officer of the Goto Group, “We can provide a reliable experience for users and build a more scalable platform by strengthening our local infrastructure in close cooperation with the telecommunication cloud, while supporting Indonesia’s data sovereignty commitment. We are grateful for the strong support and cooperation we have received throughout the complex process.”

In recent years, the global wave of digital development has contributed to the rapid growth of demand for overseas cloud services. Intercom has continued to grow in two digits over the past three years, serving more than 10,000 enterprises in 30 industries. Today, telecommunication cloud operations cover more than 80 countries and territories and are increasingly becoming the preferred cloud partner for global enterprises.
