Internet Iowa, a Canadian-based game developer, Bad Brain Game Studios, announced that he had ceased to operate, that his ongoing project, Midnight Riders, had failed to find new partners and that the company was due to run on 17 November 2025.

“We express our sincere gratitude for the support of the Internet Easy Games and for the buffer space that they have given us to explore all possible opportunities. The team invested all its energy in this journey — breaking the boundaries of creativity and technology with passion, imagination and skill every day. Our joint achievements will always prove the extraordinary talent of this team.” Sean Crooks noted that Midnight Riders and its “bottom-up IP” were awaiting acquisition and cooperation, and Bad Brain was “welcome to the distributors and studios interested in continuing the project development”. He added: “I would like once again to express my deepest gratitude to all supporters. Your encouragement and trust mean a lot to us. Although the end of this chapter was earlier than expected, the spirit created by Bad Brain will continue through the creators of these contacts.”

The network was easily established in 2023 as Bad Brain Game Studios, with a team of developers from Bredom. This was the second workshop established in Canada by Net Easi, following the acquisition of SkyBox Labs earlier the same year. Bad Brain became the second subsidiary of the network closed this week. Greg Stritter, head of the Fantastic Pixel Castle studio, has confirmed that the development team will close on the same day (17 November). There were earlier reports that if the issuer or investor of the ghost (name) of the MMORPG that was being developed was not found, the Internet had planned to remove the studio. “It is possible to obtain financial support (after closure), but this depends on the retention of the team.”

This Tuesday, 4 November, T-Minus Entertainment, which was previously closed in September, was acquired jointly by “a few senior directors and founders”.
